Cookie Policy
Last updated: 20 September 2026. This policy is issued by Orchid Labs Ltd, company number 17283133, trading as ATHENA AI Risk, website https://athenarisk.co.uk. It sits with our Privacy Notice. Personal data is explained there. This page explains cookies and similar technologies only.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files placed on your computer or phone when you visit a website. They help the site work, keep you signed in, and take payment. Some are set by us (first-party). Some are set by a supplier we use to run the service (third-party).
2. Why we use them
We use cookies that are required for the site and checkout to work. We call those essential. We also use a small number of functional cookies for the on-site chatbot. We do not use advertising cookies.
3. Essential cookies
These are required for login, checkout and security. If you block them you will not be able to use an account, pay, open a ticket, book a session, or load a secured dashboard.
WordPress login
The site runs on WordPress. If you log in, WordPress sets cookies to confirm it is you, keep the session open, and remember screen preferences.
Stripe
Stripe takes card payments. It sets cookies. Google sets session cookies when you fill forms or store data while you view it. Google’s privacy notice: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Client Support (tickets) Third Party Software
The support portal uses cookies to keep your ticket session, stop duplicate sends, and allow an upload.
Client Session (booking) Third party software
The booking tool uses cookies to keep the booking session and store the appointments you make with premium support.
4. Functional cookies
Athena chatbot
The on-site assistant uses cookies to remember that the chat window is open and to keep short conversation context as you move between pages. These are not required for checkout or login. You can refuse them in the cookie banner. The rest of the site will still work.
5. How you control cookies
Use the cookie banner when you first arrive, or Cookie Settings in the footer. You can also use your browser settings. Rejecting essential cookies will block login and checkout. Rejecting functional cookies only turns off the extras (the chatbot memory).
6. Changes
We will put updates on this page. Last updated 20 September 2026.
